Apple's iPhone ads in the UK are pretty much identical to the ones used in the US a few months ago - with a British voice-over. It's always interesting to see how big companies choose to tweak their ad campaigns from one country to another, but in this case, not a lot of changes.
"Watered down"This ad focuses on the Apple iPhone's excellent Internet browsing capability via Safari. "Instead" Here Apple try to convince us we should ditch our iPod and mobile phone and replace them with the iPhone "all-in-one" device instead. "Surprised"This ad focuses on using YouTube on the iPhone, with a great clip of a bulldog skateboarding in the street. "This is How"This advert is pretty much identical to the one broadcast in the US, except Apple did go to the trouble of changing the album covers the person flicks through when looking at the iPod feature (you'll spot Lilly Allen for example). There are plenty of other iPhone extras they could have focused on, but these are definitely some of the best features of the Apple iPhone. Have a look at Apple's US iPhone ads as well to compare with these UK ads - let us know if you come across any new ads and we'll post them on the site as well. |
