Finally, the 3G iPhone is ready to be unveiled very soon. The days of suffering from slow over-the-air web surfing are reportedly about to end in the US. We expect that few people will complain, but it will be interesting to see how fast the iPhone becomes compared to when the only alternative was EDGE (in the absence of Wi-Fi).
It's hard to find evidence of exactly how fast the iPhone will be once it moves to 3G, but we're hoping that AT&T should be able to deliver much better performance.
Recent tests suggest downloading speed using 3G that could be 2x to 4x faster. This, combined with the 2.0 version of the Apple software for the iPhone (expected in June), should make the whole experience of using an iPhone more enjoyable. |
